This site and service is principally-intended for North Carolina attorneys and their practices. As such, any agreement between a user and MyLawDB should be resolved by North Carolina law.

As a user of MyLawDB, you agree to use the MyLawDB site for your own office management, and not for other users or services. MyLawDB reserves the right to discontinue service for any user for any non-legal and non-discriminatory reason. In the event that your service is discontinued, MyLawDB will make reasonable efforts to deliver a copy of your data to you within a reasonable time upon request, and will delete your data from our database.

Understand that if using MyLawDB to prepare documents such as reminder letters or fee applications, you must verify all of the information in your finished documents. MyLawDB is an automation and acceleration toolset, and should not be used as a substitute for your own judgment and careful review. It relies on the user to handle some of the data entry and to authenticate and review all information. As such, MyLawDB makes no guarantees as to any documents prepared through our service. If there are any problems with documents resulting from imperfect software, or any suggestions as to possible improvements, you may raise your concerns with the site's admin through admin@mylawdb.com, and your feedback will be welcome.

MyLawDB has tools for both manual and automated data entry. We make no guarantee whatsoever as to the accuracy or completeness of the data you keep on our database server. Our automated tools rely on automated parsing of documents, and can be no more accurate or complete than the source documents. It is also possible that in parsing the documents, our system will miss certain data. We make absolutely no guarantee as to the completeness or correctness of the data parsed by our systems, except that we strive to make parsing data as effective as possible, and will take reasonable efforts to maintain quality parsers.

Privacy Policy:

As a database application, users of MyLawDB have an understanding that there will be data entered manually or programmatically into a user's database. MyLawDB more specifically anticipates users will add law firm data for managing an office, inclusive of data regarding clients, cases, events, tasks, bills, and other similar materials. It is MyLawDB's policy that all data is owned by the user of an account, and MyLawDB agrees it will not share any data added to a database or otherwise acquired from our users with any third parties. Further, if a user requests that their data be deleted, we will take reasonable measures within a reasonable time frame to delete the user's data from our database.

MyLawDB agrees to safeguard user data with reasonable industry standard measures, which shall include password verification, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, database API encryption keys, and Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) token verification. However, no system of data storage can ever be 100% secure.

Email Policy:

By signing up to MyLawDB, a user agrees to receive certain emails related to the MyLawDB service. MyLawDB agrees not to send unwarranted emails or to share the user's email address with any third parties without the express consent of the user. It is our policy not to send promotional or other advertising emails to users, but we will email users with administrative messages related to the service (ie: changes in terms of use, notices of any problems, billing issues, etc).
